~ Cocktail History & Information ~
The Revolver cocktail is a drink built with bourbon whiskey, coffee liqueur, and angostura orange.

Revolver Cocktail Info:
The Revolver is a banger by Jon Santer, a San Francisco bartender active in the early 2000s. The drink’s first appearance was at Bruno’s before Santer brought it to Bourbon & Branch.

The traditional revolver cocktail recipe was made with Bulleit bourbon, but you can make the drink with any good bourbon!

Santer used the Manhattan cocktail as inspiration when creating this drink! But instead of using vermouth, we use coffee liqueur in the Revolver recipe.

Of course, the last ingredient is orange bitters; it helps keep the drink together. It adds a subtle brightness to this dark and mysterious combination.

This is a simple three-ingredient cocktail that can be made in a couple of minutes and will appeal to those who enjoy classic whiskey cocktails; coffee lovers will also enjoy it.

To add an extra dimension to the drink, you can garnish it with a flamed orange peel. The oils that coat the top, especially the edges, will give it an extra flare. It can be done without any technical knowledge.

To do the flamed orange trick! Light the match, hold it above the glass, and squeeze some orange oil over the flame. This simple and fun step is also a great way to impress your guests.
